Wayne & I went spent this afternoon shooting in Whittier. This has been the toughest photo-a-day to select... I really like the depth of field and imperfections in the brickwork, so this one wins for today.

I've been reluctant to add Photoshopped pictures here, but I'm trying this (obvious) one out. I didn't take these pictures today, but I did work on them extensively in Photoshop today, so it counts for the photo-a-day. We're working on some articles in a book for my advanced Photoshop class--this idea is titled "3-D Curved Video Wall." I hope you like it. Comments are welcome (it's a work in progress!).

That's my (intact) car on the freeway shoulder. I got hit on the freeway. They closed the 210 for a bit to let emergency vehicles on. Here's what it looked like while I waited to file a police report. I'm ok.
btw, most of why this picture is amazing is that the 210 is empty at 5pm. (There was quite a bit of traffic before this.)

I like this picture. It's fantastic. The sun was setting, the pump hose picked up the colors, the pump hose was dusty, the pump handle was blurry. It all makes high gas prices worthwhile (except for not really at all). I believe this description was, in fact, a sonnet.
