I thought to myself, "How nice. Taylor doesn't bit the area carpet or the furniture. Great." Turns out, she hadn't discovered it yet. At six weeks, she was a bit timid to eat the carpet. Even now, she's good about it, unless she wants attention.

Reminisce immediately
The great thing about digital cameras is that it allows you to reminisce immediately... "Hey! Remember when we went down Splash Mountain ten seconds ago!? Yeah, those were some good times."

sleeping puppy (for now)
Puppies sleep a lot. The trouble is, they are usually awake when you're trying to sleep. I was not expecting me (or the wife) to have to get up every three hours. I guess that's why God made puppies so cute.

Meet Taylor
So here's the main reason why I'm one month behind on the photo-a-day. Our new dog Taylor.
Taylor is a six week old labrador retriever. We named her after my guitar. (Future pets will be Gibson, Fender, Takamine(?).) She was scared on the way home, and wanted to snuggle. I gave her the blanket that was in the car; I guess that's hers now.

soup, because it's getting cold
I'm not a huge fan of soups. However, Bear Creek is really good soup. It comes dehydrated in a kelly green bag. Yum.

blinds to the world
Photo tip #6:
Force yourself to take photos often/every day.
I took this photo late at night. I wanted to go to bed, but remembered that I needed to take a photo for my photo-a-day project. So, I looked up, noticed my new blinds (in my new house), and snapped a few photos. There wasn't really any light (I was going to sleep), so I grabbed my phone and used its light.
I'm happy with the result. I think this is an interesting photo. And it would not exist if I didn't force myself to take a photo. Try it. You'll surprise yourself with how creative you are when you have to be.
