I helped Wayne move today. Since he's a rockin' photographer, I asked him if he has shot his driveway or these flowers. He said no, so I did. Sadly, the rocky driveway was out of focus where it counted, so this scary flower is the photo-a-day. It looks like it's gonna crawl over and attack you during a Danny Elfman song.

Argh! This be the mug a friend gave me, says I. It be a 1/2 second exposure with a flash through the (imaginary) fog. This be looking good on black. Aargh!

This is across the street from this shot taken exactly one year ago. The gas station is to the left, the older photo is to the right. I remembered it was about a year ago, but got a bit lucky that I guessed perfectly.

Downtown in the distance on the left, super busy 110 freeway on the right. This is one shot, but looks like a diptych. It seemed fitting for L.A.

Feeling uninspired, I took a picture of my hand with a tile bathroom background. It was lame, so I added the world in my hand. It's a quick, silly job. Still not sure if the proportions are right...

Here's the 57 freeway without traffic. You can see Mt. Baldy in the background, too. If you make a right off Temple Ave., there's a lame place to go to for lunch: Scoreboard. Avoid it.

We got an Apple TV for my birthday/Christmas present. It rocks. I have my Photo-a-Day as the screensaver. Oh Apple, how I love thee.

Pedro's Taco

Greg and I ate at Pedro's Taco is San Juan Capistrano. I thought it was the same chain as the San Clemente Pedro's Taco, but it wasn't. I was deeply disappointed at first, but then enjoyed an epic al pastor burrito.

btw, I desaturated the red channel to bring the focus onto the restaurant. That's actually a stop light on the left with cars braking.
