Kenny plays in the Matt Maher Band; he rocked during Inspiration at Magic Mountain. Matt's band used our gear, so I was hanging out really close to the stage. btw, that was a big spotlight above his head (or it was God). Either way, it's a cool shot.

I bought a carne asada burrito, as I watched the sun slowly descend over the smog-laden palm trees. The light hit the tacky orange arch just right.

Driving down the 10, I blindly took a few 4 second exposures. I photoshopped 3 of my favorite (lucky/random) shots. I did, however, plan to (vaguely) get the truck on the left.

I was standing on an island in the middle of the street during this 30 second exposure. I was about 2 feet away from traffic on the right, which is why the taillights are all over. I also found out that a wallet makes a good tripod when your camera is on a curb.

If you view this on black, the depth of field is pretty sweet. My PowerBook is starting to show its age with the cracked power button, but I still love it.

I like the composition of this shot. I spent a while trying out different Photoshopped colors. I settled in on this version, where the top layer's blending properties are exclusion (so the blue sky becomes orange). It seemed to pop more than my other ideas.

At 9pm, I took two pictures. I stacked them in Photoshop and changed the layer style to screen. Interestingly enough, this is facing east (so it's not the sunset at all). Hmm...
